Sherry A. Wright, 56, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died at noon on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at her home in Moline, Ill.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the Weir Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Weir Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Wright was born July 28, 1943, in Moline, Ill., the daughter of Edward and Estelle Rushing Woodworth. She married Allen L. Wright on Feb. 18, 1984, in Moline. She managed apartments in Mt. Pleasant, but retired in 1997 due to her health. She attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Mt. Pleasant.

Survivors include a son, Donald McCarty of Laurenceville, Ga.; a daughter, Tandee Winkleman of Farmington, Mo.; a brother, John Orey of East Moline, Ill.; four sisters, Cindy Wyrnt of Rock Island, Ill., Connie Woodworth of Moline, Ill., Kay Spillman of East Moline, Ill., and Pam Watkins of Freeport, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson.
