Shiela A. Smith

WINFIELD ? Shiela Ann Smith, 73, of Crawfordsville, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Cremation will be accorded, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Honts Funeral Home in Winfield is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 9, 1942, in Toronto, the daughter of Robert ?Barney? and Dorothy (Stanlake) Stoecker. She married Don E. Smith on Aug. 26, 1962, at Wheatland.

She attended the Toronto Community School and graduated from Wheatland High School in 1960. She then attended the AIC School of Business in Davenport. She was a bookkeeper and had been a co-owner of Linder-Smith Insurance in Winfield. She had belonged to the Bowling League in Mount Pleasant, where she was an avid bowler. She enjoyed the family tree farm and attended many national conferences. Her family was her passion, and she took great pride in her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Don; one son, Adam Smith and wife Theresa of Des Moines; one daughter, Amy Wagener and husband John of Janesville, Wisconsin; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Donald Stoecker.
