Shirley B. Timmins

Shirley B. Timmins, 88, of Rensselaer, Ind., formerly of Washington, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, in the Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer.

    Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at the West Chester United Methodist Church in West Chester with the Rev. Marlene Janssen officiating. The family will receive friends at a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.  Private family burial will take place at Lexington Cemetery in rural Washington.

Memorials may be directed to the West Chester United Methodist Church or to Washington County 4-H Programs.  The Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington is handling the arrangements.

    Mrs. Timmins was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Edgartown, Mass., on Martha?s Vineyard Island, the daughter of William A. and Pearl L. (Norton) Black.  She married Marion L. Timmins, who was in the Coast Guard, on Aug. 14, 1943, in Edgartown.
