Shirley Jean Simmons

Shirley Jean Simmons, 73, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at home.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson?s Foundation. Cards and memorials may be sent to Sheryl Brady at 907 W. Stone Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. Simmons was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Buchanan Township in Jefferson County, the daughter of Charles and Nina Marie Barnett Ellis. She married James E. Simmons Sept. 2, 1954, in Fairfield. He died July 11, 1987.
