Shirley Ann Parker, 83, of rural Fairfield, died Wednesday April 10, 2019, at University Hospital in Iowa City. She was born June 30, 1935, in Jefferson County to Florence Kirchner Scheidel. She attended Fairfield Schools. Shirley married William H. Parker May 9, 1952, in California, MO. She was a homemaker and worked as nurse's aid at Parkview and Nelson nursing homes, she was an Avon representative for years.

Shirley is survived by her husband Bill, one daughter Teressa Kay Parker, Fairfield, 4 sons: Jerry (Tammy) Parker, William Parker and Timothy Parker, all of Des Moines and Steven Parker, Fairfield, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister, Pauline Boughner and brother Howard Schiedel.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday April 15, 2019, at the Richland United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Schoepf officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 2:30 to 3:30 P.M. Sunday April 14, 2019, at Gould Funeral Home in Richland.
