Shirley W. Andries

Shirley W. Andries, 74, of rural Danville, died Thursday morning April 14, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

      The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at Shinar Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Robert Watkins officiating. Burial followed at the Shinar Church Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to the Shinar Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cheryl Willson of Danville; a grandson; three sisters, Gwendolyn Hawkins of Moulton, Gretchen "Susie" Liechty of Mt. Pleasant, and Linda Smyth of New London; and two brothers, B. Richard McDowell of Lockridge and J. Bradley McDowell of Mt. Pleasant.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Donald.
