Formerly Sister Mary Carmel. Born to Eternal Life April 10, 2024, age 93. She taught business courses at St. Mary’s Academy for 27 years (1964-1991) and served as administrative secretary for the provincial team of the Society of the Divine Savior for 16 years (1993-2009). Survivors include the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, with whom she shared life for 69 years; a sister, Mary Jean (John) Kasher; and brothers, LeRoy and Bill (Joyce) Mertens. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi Memorial Fund, 3221 S Lake Dr., Saint Francis WI 53235-3702.
