Stanford A. Garrels
Stanford A. Garrels, 71, of West Point, died at 3:18 p.m., Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at the Ft. Madison Community Hospital.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Feb 15, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in West Point with Fr. Apo Mpanda officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Point.
Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a rosary recited at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the West Point Fire and Rescue or the PAWS Animal Shelter.
Mr. Garrels was born April 16, 1934, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Elmer and Wilma Beattie Garrels.
