Stanley D. Savage
Stanley David Savage, 62, of Des Moines, formerly of Salem, died Thursday, Jan. 17, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, with Pastors Stephen Savage and Rusty Savage officiating. Burial will be at Salem East Cemetery.

He was born April 17, 1945, in Central City, the son of Lewis and Esther Stanley Savage.
A graduate of Fairfield High School, he joined the U.S. Army, where he served in Monterey, Calif. and the Philippines. Upon his discharge from the Army, he worked at a variety of jobs, then joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in San Diego and Long Beach, Calif. He then worked at a variety of construction jobs while in California.
He is survived by his father; three sisters, Sharolyn Lisk and her husband Loren of Mt. Pleasant, Joan Kildow and her husband William of Lancaster, Calif., and Rosalie Padgett and her husband Jerry of LaCrosse, Wis.; and one brother, Stephen Savage and his wife Marilee of Winona, Ohio.
His mother and brother George Savage preceded him in death.
