Stanley Doig
Stanley Doig, 96, of Washington, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington following a short illness.
An informal gathering of coffee and fellowship in his honor will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. His body will be cremated and will be buried at the Elm Grove Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be designated to the Washington Tree Committee.
Mr. Doig was born Feb. 21, 1914, on the family farm southwest of Washington, the son of Henry and Gertrude (Sutherland) Doig.
