Stanley John L. Drebenstedt

Stanley John L. Drebenstedt, 72, of rural Mediapolis, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, with the Rev. Carl Engstrom officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's Church Cemetery in rural Burlington. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at the funeral home, with no family visitation. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Pam Ealy of Mediapolis; two sons, Cass Drebenstedt of New London, and Kenan Drebenstedt of Mediapolis; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Genevieve Thie of Sperry.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
