Stanley Robert “Stan” Clang, age 60, of Crawfordsville, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his residence.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crawfordsville Cemetery, with a graveside service officiated by Pastor Jason Collier. Memorials have been established for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Iowa Chapter. Online condolences may be sent for Stanley’s family at www.jonesfh.com.
Stan was born on November 19, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Robert R. and Fern M. (Stimson) Clang. He was a graduate of Center Point High School and served honorably in the United States Army National Guard. Stan was previously married to Kathy Johnson.
For the past 20 years, Stan made his home in Crawfordsville. He dedicated nearly 40 years of his life to working for IBP/Tyson Foods. In his free time, Stan loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his grandchildren. He loved watching basketball and football, always cheering on his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. Stan also shared a special bond with his pet python, Mr. Potatohead, whom he cared for dearly.
Stan is survived by his three children: daughter, Christine (Derrick) Ihde of Marquette, Iowa; son, Andrew (Katherine) Clang of Hollansburg, Ohio; daughter, Melinda (Shariff) Lamarre of Bennett, Iowa; and three grandchildren: Addison Ihde, Kaylei Clang, and Oliver Clang. Stan is further survived by his siblings: brother, Carl (Kathy) Clang of Dahinda, Illinois; sister, Dixie (Rick) Elesfrud of Waterloo, Iowa; sister, Carolyn Love (Bruce Davis) of Crawfordsville, Iowa; brother, Chuck (Crystal) Clang of Ravenna, Ohio; and sister, Andrea (Chuck) Rudy of Chesapeake, Virginia; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Isabella Clang.
