Stanley Shemanski

KEOTA ? Stanley Shemanski, 81, of Keota, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Maplewood Manor in Keota following a brief illness.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the Polishville Community Center with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating.  Burial will be at Polishville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, and from 9 a.m. until time of the service Wednesday at the Polishville Community Center.  A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society or the Polishville Society.

    Mr. Shemanski was born Aug. 13, 1927, near Pleasant Plain, the son of Peter and Stella (Wencel) Shemanski.  He married Eithel Dickson on Nov. 29, 1958, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.
