Stanley Ward Singer

WASHINGTON - Stanley Ward Singer, age 90, of Washington, Iowa died Tuesday May 27, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital following an extended illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:00 am Friday May 30, 2008 at the

Jones -Eden Funeral Home with Rev. Kitch Shatzer and Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Visitation will begin noon Thursday at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening. Interment will take place at the Friends Cemetery in Richland, Iowa. Memorials have been established for the service projects of the Kiwanis AM'ers. Stan was born January 31, 1918 in Richland, Missouri the son of John and Ellen (Pope) Singer. He attended school in Ollie and Packwood and graduated from Packwood High School in 1936. He was united in marriage to Marion Bray on October 6, 1940 in Ottumwa, Iowa.
