Stephen M. King
Stephen M. King, 46, of Keokuk, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at his home.
He was born March 26, 1961, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Ronald D. and Patricia Johnson King.
He graduated from WACO High School with the Class of 1979. He also graduated from Lincoln Tech Institute in Des Moines.
He had been employed with Tri State Sheet Metal in Keokuk.
He was a member of the Swedesburg Lutheran Church in Swedesburg, IA, and the Sheetmetal Workers Union Local 91 in Rock Island.
His hobbies included boating, reading and welding. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia King of Olds; his companion, Angela Twitchell and her son Jason of Keokuk; two sisters, Michelle Hultquist and her husband Duayne of Mt. Pleasant and Diane King-Bergstrom and her husband Brian of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Esther King and his maternal grandparents, Harold and Hazel Johnson.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 29, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, with the family meeting with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Steven Zittergruen officiating.
