Stephen 'Steve' Dean Stagner

Stephen "Steve" Dean Stagner died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark.

      A graveside funeral service with full military rites for his cremains will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Elm Grove in Washington with the Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant at 9:30 a.m. to go to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his parents, his wife, a stepson, David Ellison of Morrow, Ark., three sisters, Debra and her husband Harold Sammons, Lisa and her husband Todd Barton, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Kathy and her husband Terry Glattfelder of Donnellson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

      He was preceded in death by two sisters, grandparents John and Grace Humphrey of Mt. Pleasant, and Cleo and Mildred Stagner of Wellman, and two uncles.
