Sterling William Stoltzfus

      KALONA - Sterling William Stoltzfus, 82, of Kalona, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in the Pleasantview Home in Kalona following a long illness.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10 in the Kalona Mennonite Church with the Rev. Scott Swartzendruber and the Rev. Mick Murray officiating. A private family burial will be held at Sharon Hill Cemetery before the funeral service. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kalona, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Mennonite Board of Mission and Iowa City Hospice.

      Mr. Stoltzfus was born April 7, 1926, in Wood River, Neb., the son of John and Laura (Beckler) Stoltzfus. He married Myrtle Sutter on Oct. 19, 1947 in Milford, Neb.
