Steven Ray Adrian, 58, of Washington, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clincs. Funeral services have been set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Faith Baptist Church. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. at Beatty Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton. A memorial fund has been established for the Knights of Columbus and Faith Baptist Church.

Steve Ray Adrian was born June 8, 1961, the son of Leonard and Gertrude (Nash) Adrian in Washington, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Washington High School. He was united in marriage to Brenda Carey on July 28, 1989, in Washington. Steve farmed his entire life and worked previously at Walmart Distribution Center, Wayne Feed for Continental Grain and Fansteel.

Steve loved to tell stories and he knew no strangers. He enjoyed going to auctions and shopping at Orscheln. He loved spending time with his family, especially taking his grandchildren for rides on the mule and tractor. He enjoyed a "good deal," and attending the Washington County and Iowa State Fair. A favorite past-time was watching the Weather Channel and socializing with everyone.

Steve is survived by his wife, Brenda; children, Brenden Carey, Brittanie Adrian (fiance David Oolman.) Steffany (Duncan) Bell, Mackenzie Adrian (fiance Kelly Stogdill) and Lyndsay Adrian; grandchildren, Mazie, Brysen, Nolan and Everett; brothers, Jim Adrian and special friend Lynette, Bob (Nancy) Adrian and Dave (Toni) Adrian; and sister, Linda (Dean) Wilson.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Adrian.
