Steven D. Freel

KALONA - Steven D. Freel, 52, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, in rural West Chester.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 in the Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. Mike Orthel officiating. Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Kalona United Methodist Church, Aiming for a Cure, or the Ronald McDonald House.

Mr. Freel was born Dec. 9, 1955 in Washington, the son of Wesley and Sharleen (Miller) Freel. He married Chris Svoboda on Sept. 8, 1979 in Wellman.
