Steven Gail Gingerich, 62, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield, Iowa.

Steve was born Oct. 29, 1959. He was a son of the late Ralph Gingerich and Ruth (Pahmer) Gingerich Eagle.

He and the former Clark Ann Gray were married on March 23, 1991, in South Roxana, Ill. She passed away Nov. 22, 2013.

Steve worked in construction until he was disabled in 1996.

Survivors include one brother, Robert Gingerich of Washington; nephews, Tracy Milford and Nick Smith; one uncle, Tom Palmer and Joan of Washington; two aunts, Karen Goodlander of Taylor Falls, Minn., and Paula Entsminger and John of Washington; mother-in-law, Janice Gray of Wood River, Ill.; brother-in-law, Stephen Gray and Denise of Maryville, Ill.; niece, Hannah Mowrey and Dom; nephews, Jacob Gray and Bene', Caleb Gray and Levi Gray all of Illinois; and several cousins.

Besides his wife and parents, Steve was preceded in death by one sister, Vickie Retcherman; two brothers, Jeffery and Terry Gingerich; and father-in-law, Glen Gray.

Committal service will be noon Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana, Ill.
