Steven C. Sanaghan, 68, of Lockridge passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at his home in Lockridge.

He was born on May 15, 1951, in Fairfield, the son of James Carrol and Marlene Elaine Bonnett Sanaghan. He was united in marriage to Sharon Christner on October 17, 1972 in Galesburg, Illinois. Steve worked for Chain and Cable of Fairfield for 11 years, then on to Midwest Old Thresher in Mt. Pleasant for 3 years and retired after 17 years with the Iowa Ammunition Plant in Middletown. He enjoyed spending time outside fishing, hunting, mowing the yard. He was an Iowa Hawkeye Fan, NASCAR, he collected coins, guns and knives.

Steve is survived by his wife Sharon of Lockridge and his children, Terri (Philip) Sanaghan and Tricia (and her companion) Sanaghan, 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessy Armstrong, and 3 great grandson, Jackson, Conor and Izaiah, his sisters, Jane Logan, of Mt. Pleasant and Deborah (Tom) Greiner of Lockridge, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Mike Renken officiating. Burial will follow in the White Oak Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the Murphy Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening. A memorial has been established in his memory.
