Susan Graro

SUN CITY, Ariz. ? Word has been received that Susan Jane Graro, 72, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Washington, died Sunday, July 12, 2015, in Sun City.

Contributions in her memory may be sent to Starlight Park Baptist Church of Phoenix, Ariz., or to an animal rescue facility of the donor?s choice. Regency Mortuary in Sun City, Ariz., assisted the family.

Mrs. Graro was born Sept. 9, 1942, in Auburn, N.Y., the daughter of George Merritt and Mary Catherine (Carris) Merritt. She married Gilbert Wilson, and the couple were blessed with a daughter. She later married Anthony ?Tony? Graro.

She graduated from high school in Champaign, Ill. She and her husband Tony moved to Washington, where she met and made many lifelong friends. In 1986 they moved to Sun City, Ariz. She loved animals, loved to travel, and loved reading and swimming. She enjoyed being a part of the Handicap-able swim program. She took great pride in her daughter. She was known as a fun, feisty, loving person.

Surviving are one daughter, Shawn and husband Ted ?my boy? Johnson of Riverside, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Leonard Wilson and wife Judy; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Tony.
