Susan Michele (Sanders) Ianello passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 in Medina, New York following a long battle with ovarian cancer. Susie was courageous throughout her illness and fought a brave fight through to the end.

Susie was born in Marengo, Iowa on February 23, 1972. She grew up in North English and graduated from English Valleys in 1990. Some of her favorite memories from youth include playing sports with her classmates and camping with her family. Susie spent a lot of time with her best friend. Amy, making memories and causing mischief. They were best friends all throughout Susie’s lifetime, with Amy always welcome at Sanders family gatherings.

Over the years, Susie worked as a 911 dispatcher and various customer service jobs. However, none of it was as meaningful to Susie as being a loving mother to her two children, Arrianna and Antonio. Susie had great compassion for all animals during her life, especially her cats. She also loved all things from the movie, “The Wizard of Oz.” A big fan of both the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Buffalo Bills, she loved going to IHOP, laughing and watching comedies. Most of all she deeply loved her family, and they also loved her dearly.

Susie is s survived by 2 children, Antonio Ianello and Arrianna Ianello. She also has 3 sisters, Lisa Harmon, Lori Lopez-Sanders, and Alice Sharp, as well as 3 brothers, Bud Sanders, Dave Sanders, and Pete Sanders. She also has many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and cousins, who loved her. Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Jeanne Sanders, and by one sister, Mary Katherine (Kathy) Sanders.
