KALONA ? Susan H. (Miller) Yoder, 102, of rural Riverside, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, at the Perry Hershberger home at 1120 Palm Avenue in Riverside, with Bishop Clayton Borntrager officiating. Burial will follow at the Peter Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9, and from 1:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Perry Hershberger home. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Yoder was born Jan. 23, 1914, in Reno County, Kansas, the daughter of Harvey C. and Mary (Fry) Miller. She married Ben L. Yoder on Oct. 15, 1936.

She moved with her parents to Kalona in 1931. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church until her death. She and her husband were married for 68 years until his death in 2004.

Surviving are three sons, Philip and wife Carolyn Yoder of Fairbanks, Solomon and wife Katie Yoder of Kalona, and Benjamin and wife Nancy Yoder of Iowa City; one daughter, Anna Miller of Riverside; one son-in-law, Isaac Hershberger of Riverside; 35 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 115 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edna Miller of Kalona.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Mary Edna; four sisters; nine brothers; and six grandchildren.
