Suvilla M. Hershberger

    KALONA ? Suvilla M. Hershberger, 91, of Kalona, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, in the Pleasantview Home in Kalona.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the Kalona Mennonite Church with the Rev. Scott Swartzendruber and the Rev. Perry Miller officiating. Burial will be in the East Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hospice.

    Mrs. Hershberger was born Dec. 3, 1919, near Sturgis, Mich., the daughter of Menno J.S. and Fannie (Yoder) Bontrager. She married Joseph Hershberger on Aug. 28, 1941, in rural Kalona.
