Suzannah Maya Mukete Kingsbury, 26, of Chicago IL, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on December 14, 2025, after a three-year battle with cancer.

Born November 17, 1999, Suzannah had an insatiable appetite for learning and excelled in academics from an early age. They graduated from Fairfield High School at 16 years old (class of 2016) followed by Northwestern University at age 20 (class of 2020). Above all, Suzannah loved learning about other people and was highly gifted at connecting with others. They were deeply kind, funny, playful, and insightful and treasured and were treasured by their many friends. They enjoyed playing the piano, reading, spending time with friends, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and caring for their cat, Mustard.

Suzannah is greatly missed by all their friends and family, especially their mother, Sarah Kingsbury; sister, Tejah Kingsbury; stepfather, Craig Hennigan; grandparents, Judith and Edward Kingsbury; father, Emile Mukete; brothers, Liam and Nael Mukete; and best friend, Jesi Rojo.

A memorial service will be held on February 7 at 2 p.m. at the Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church in Chicago.
