Suzanne Chezum

      Suzanne Chezum, 87, of Fairfield, formerly of Birmingham, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

      A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

      Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harry Chezum Endowment of the Fairfield Public Library in care of 713 Kimball Ave., Iowa City 52245.

      Mrs. Chezum was born Jan. 19, 1920, in Birmingham, the daughter of Ilief and Grace Tweedy Brobston. She married Harry LeRoy Chezum Oct. 2, 1936, in Fairfield. He died Jan. 12, 1987.
