Suzanne Palmer
Suzanne Palmer
Norwalk
The world has lost a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Suzanne Palmer passed away at her home in Norwalk, Iowa on Thursday, November 7.
Suzanne was born on April 22, 1961, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Sharon and Millard Morgan. After high school, she met her husband, Kim Palmer. Shortly after they married in Des Moines, they moved to Norwalk, where she spent the rest of her life. Together, Kim and Suzanne completed their family with daughter Brianne and son Alex, along with many much-loved cats throughout the years.
Suzanne enjoyed her job at Wellmark for many years, and upon retirement still found joy in attending luncheons with her coworkers often.
Suzanne was always cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones, tending to her many plants and beautiful garden, going on adventures with friends or family both near and far, and had the most special bond with her two granddaughters Julianne and Caroline, spending many hours crafting, cooking, and cheering them on every step of their young lives.
Suzanne is survived by her husband Kim Palmer of Norwalk, daughter Brianne (Steven) Bethards of Norwalk, son Alex Palmer of Norwalk, granddaughters Julianne and Caroline Bethards of Norwalk, sister Kara (Steve) Roberts of Fairfield, brother Kevin (Brenda) Morgan of Fairfield, brother Dennis Morgan of Fairfield along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great0nieces, great-nephews, friends, coworkers, and many others who loved her.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents Sharon and Millard Morgan, in-laws Nelda and Cloyce Palmer, and sister-in-law Leslie Lane.
A visitation will be held Thursday, November 14 beginning at 12:00 pm, with services to follow at 2:00 pm, at Iles Norwalk Chapel in Norwalk, Iowa. If you’d like to wear your Cardinal and Gold in honor of her love of ISU, please do so. Burial will follow at the Norwalk Cemetery.
Online condolences are welcome and for those unable to attend in person a livestream of the funeral will be available on Suzanne’s obituary page at www.IlesCares.com.
