Sylvia Fahlgren July 6, 1929 - January 20, 2004

Sylvia Fahlgren, 74, of Danville, died at 4:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Lawrence Garrett officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26 in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. today at the chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to Danville Fire and Rescue and to Hope Haven.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Polly Jo Fahlgren of Burlington, Beverly E. Brauer of Maquoketa and Elaine Dee Hernandez of North Liberty; a son, Arthur C. Fahlgren of Burlington; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Byard of Darbyshire, England, and Valorie Fahlgren of West Burlington.

      She was preceded in death by her parents.
