Tami Marie De Spain, 54,

of Salem, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, at her home in Salem.

Tami was born July 5, 1966, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Brian and Roberta J. (Woodsmall) De Spain. She graduated from Mediapolis High School in the class of 1985. She enjoyed photography, picture art, shopping, cooking, playing jokes on her friends, music and swimming. Tami loved her Sterzings and Diet Pepsi. She was into the super natural world. Tami's family and friends were very important to her.

She is survived by her mother, Roberta Stevens of Salem; her children, Misty Wilson of Salem, Tyler De Spain of Ames and Natalie Salazar of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Stranger, Katie Smith, Ava Comayagua and Harper Sammons; one sister, Laura De Spain; and her grandmother, Anna Woodsmall of Salem.

Tami was preceded in death by her father, Brian De Spain; and her grandfatherm Robert Woodsmall.

According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the care of Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. The family will host a Celebration of Tami's Life at a later date.
