Ted Leonard

      MT. PLEASANT - Ted Leonard, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.

      Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30, at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Carroll Brown officiating. Burial with military rites accorded will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon, Thursday, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening. Memorials have been established for the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association.

      Mr. Leonard was born May 14, 1924, in Ottumwa, to Charles E. and May (Alderdice) Leonard. He married Patricia Louise Deitch on Oct. 24, 1948, in Ottumwa.
