Teddy J. Cockayne

Teddy Joe Cockayne, 59, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Feb. 8, at his home.

His body has been cremated. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society. Honts Funeral Home in Winfield is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Sept. 21, 1948, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Warren and Hope Swartzendruber Cockayne.

A graduate of Winfield-Mt. Union High School, he worked at Peoples State Bank in Winfield, then at Heatilator, Motorola and Celestica, all of Mt. Pleasant.

He is survived by his parents and one daughter, Courtney Cockayne of Indianola.

His sister Luann preceded him in death.
