Terry L. Helfrich Jr.

DERIDDER, La. ? Terry Lee Helfrich Jr., 40, of DeRidder, Louisiana, died Monday, April 10, 2017, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Gathering of the family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 14, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.

Mr. Helfrich was born Jan. 23, 1977, in Ottumwa, the son of Terry Lee and Vickie (Roberts) Helfrich.

He was a native of Ottumwa and grew up in Washington, and moved to Leesville, Louisiana, in 2001. He was employed as a parts technician for 171 Nissan in DeRidder. He loved to play pool and was known as a loyal friend, great father, and loyal and loving husband.

Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Shannon Reschly of DeRidder, Louisiana; one son, Devon Hartley of West Branch; his mother, Vickie Taylor of Leesville, Louisiana; and one sister, Terra Casanova of Misawa, Japan.

He was preceded in death by his father; one stepdaughter, Hanna Marie LeJeane; and one stepbrother, Shannon Reschly.
