The Rev. Robert L. Brownfield

      DAVENPORT-The Rev. Robert L. Brownfield, 88, of Davenport, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 at Ridgecrest Retirement Village, Davenport.

      Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Davenport. Visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, Ill., at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Priest Aid Society.

      Mr. Brownfield was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Louisville, Ky., to Robert P. and Mary L. (Hellmann) Brownfield. He married Emily Hruska on Sept. 8, 1951 in Watervliet, Mich. She preceded him in death in 1989.
