The Reverend Vincent L. James

      DES MOINES - The Reverend Vincent L. James, 89, of Des Moines, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at Wesley Acres in Des Moines.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Des Moines. Burial will follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Iles Funeral Homes - Dunn's Chapel in Des Moines. Additional visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed to Habitat for Humanity in Des Moines.

      Mr. James was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Big Rock, Ill., the son of Beulah Flagg and Evan James. He married Amy MacNeil on Aug. 10, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
