Theresa Clara Scranton

      Theresa Clara Scranton, 80, of Washington, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at her home, following a lengthy illness.

      Celebration of Life Services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2005, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Interment will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at noon, Friday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8, Friday evening. Prayer services will be held at the funeral home at 6 p.m., Friday. A general memorial and a memorial for Hospice of Washington County have been established.

      Mrs. Scranton was born on Jan. 24, 1925, in Washington, to Francis and Katheryn (Eagle) Bruty. On Sept. 13, 1942, she married Robert Eli Scranton in Memphis, Mo.
