Theresa Lynn Knerr, 57, of Brighton died late Tuesday January 9, 2024, at Washington County Hospital in Washington. She was born in Fairfield, Iowa February 28, 1966, to John Andrew and Phyllis Cecelia Williams Randall. She grew up in the Pleasant Plain area and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1984. Theresa attended community college and earned her CNA Degree and worked for many years at local nursing homes. She married Jackie Knerr in Fairfield November 8, 1984, and he died May 26, 2021.

Theresa is survived by her children: Michael (Courtney House) of Brighton, Josh (Brittney) of Washington and Dakota (Alanna) of Wayland, step-daughter Stephanie Ineichen of Iowa City, 9 grandchildren, her sister Linda Essary of Fairfield and brother Steve Simpson ( Sherri) of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Kayden and Colton and 2 infant brothers.

Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the First Church of God in Brighton with Pastor Rick Hughes officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening January 22, 2024, 6 to 8 P.M. at the church. A general memorial has been established and may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 205 North Mechanic Street, Brighton, Iowa 52540. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is assisting the family.
