Thomas C. Turner September 8, 1935 - January 29, 2004

Thomas C. Turner, 68, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport.

      The funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Jerry Kelly officiating. Military rites were performed at the church. Burial was in Oakland Mills Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the Henry County Conservation Department's Terry Ross Wetlands Project, the First Presbyterian Church and the American Heart Association.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandy Breazeale of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Larry Turner of Rockford, Ill., and William Turner of Tallahassee, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
