Thomas D. Hawbaker
Thomas D. Hawbaker, 71, of Hillsboro, died of a stroke at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22 at the Christian Church in Hillsboro, with the Revs. Mark Caston and David Doer officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will begin today at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with family present from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Memorials have been established to the Hillsboro First Responders or Kinder-USA, a relief fund for children of the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Jordan.
