Thomas Henry Kerr, former resident of Washington, IA and graduate from Washington High School class of 1959, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024 in The Villages, FL. Tom long suffered from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, but he remained as active as possible thought the years.

Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Paula, by his daughter Deana, granddaughter Lauren, and by his sister, Julia Kerr Carlsen Bachtell.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Harold and Mary Kerr and Brother Harold (Butch ) Kerr, Jr.

Tom enlisted in the US Navy after attending Iowa Wesleyan and served a distinguished career, retiring after over 26 years of service. His career sent him all over the world and he enjoyed traveling even more throughout his retirement years. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards – excelling at poker, bridge and cribbage.
