Thomas Kent Christensen

KALONA - Thomas Kent Christensen, 60, of Kalona, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

      A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, in the Upper Deer Creek Mennonite Church with the Rev. Elmer Miller officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The body has been cremated and burial will be at a later date. Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona is assisting with the arrangements. A general memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Christensen was born Dec. 8, 1947, in Atlantic, the son of Svend Burge and Katherine (Ross) Christensen. He married Sherry Britsch on Sept. 15, 1984 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic.
