Tommy Hartnell

      Tommy Hartnell, 93, of Richland, died early Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at home.

      A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the Rev. Carl Ratcliff officiating. Mr. Hartnell was buried in Friends Cemetery following a private graveside service.

      Family visitation will follow Wednesday's memorial service.

      Memorials have been established for the Richland Volunteer First Responders or Quakerdale. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 410 W. Keokuk Ave., Keota 52248.

      Mr. Hartnell was born Nov. 6, 1914, on a farm north of Richland, the son of Joseph and Ferne Morrow Hartnell. He married Donna Marjorie Stagers Nov. 9, 1940. She died Sept. 1, 1980.
