Tressa Jane Johnson

      KALONA - Tressa Jane Johnson, 104, of Halcyon House in Washington, formerly of Wellman, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Halcyon House after a short illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman with the Rev. Rich Pippert officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with an Eastern Star Service held at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Wellman Cemetery in Wellman. Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, or Good Samaritan Fund at Halcyon House.

      Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 17, 1903, the daughter of James M. and Harriet (Bailey) Phillips. She married Charles Toppin Johnson on Aug. 22, 1923, in Washington.
