Twila C. Hunter

BRIGHTON - Twila C. Hunter, 88, of the McCreedy Home in Washington, formerly of Brighton, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in the McCreedy Home.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Brighton United Church in Brighton with the Rev. Sallie Graves officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton, Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. The family will greet friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. before the funeral service. Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society, the McCreedy Home, the Hospice of Washington County, or the Brighton United Church.

      Mrs. Hunter was born March 20, 1920 southeast of Brighton, the daughter of Andrew Lee and Edith M. (Essley) Stacy. She married Lawrence E. Hunter on Dec. 24, 1939 in Des Moines. He died Aug. 11, 1995.
