Memorials may be made to the family and mailed to Justin Stein, 304 Iowa Ave., Fairfield, IA 52556.
Tyler was born Aug. 24, 1964, in Sterling, Ill., to Donald Lawrence and Judy Ann (Powell) Stein. Tyler left home at a young age and headed south, where he worked as a dishwasher on the Mississippi Queen. There he quickly fell in love with all things food. Tyler's passion was garmache art. Over his 25 year career he created food sculptures for countless events. Including the annual Passover event held at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami.
Tyler loved people and really made a point to connect with every person he crossed paths with. He will be greatly missed by so many. He loved spending time riding his motorcycles and spent countless hours at the beach fishing, snorkeling and just enjoying life.
Tyler is survived by his two sons, Justin (Meloney) Stein of Fairfield and Brandon (Cherell) Stein of Opelika, Ala.; five grandchildren, Kaitzen, Jayce, Madelyn, Gabriel and Emma; and two siblings, Tracy Stein and Todd Stein, both of Florida.
