Van A. Pounds

      Van A. Pounds, 40, of Brighton, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at home.

      A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville, with the Rev. Wayne Wilken officiating. Burial in Minot, N.D., will be at a later time.

      Family visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

      Memorials to the family may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 207 N. Harrison St., Brighton 52540.

      Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home of Brighton.

      Mr. Pounds was born July 12, 1966, in Minot, N.D., the son of Clyde D. and Shirley M. Pierson Pounds Jr. He married Yvette Ehret March 14 in Washington, Iowa.
