Velma Brown
KALONA ? Velma Frances Brown, 99, of Iowa City, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in Oaknoll Care Center in Iowa City from complications of a stroke.
Celebration of life services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the Sharon Center United Methodist Church in rural Kalona. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Memorial gifts may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or First Presbyterian Church in Iowa City.
