Velma Esther Cline

WASHINGTON - Velma Esther (Yeoman) Cline, 83, of Washington died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at the Washington Care Center following a lengthy illness.

      Celebration of life services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Assembly of God Church in Washington with the Rev. Jim Cluney officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday . Interment will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for Lending Hands or Hospice of Washington County. The Jones Eden Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

      Mrs. Cline was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Washington, the daughter of Marion Wilson and Flora Belle (St. John) Yeoman. She attended school in Washington, and graduated from high school in Toledo. On Sept. 3, 1944, she married Forest Cline in Fairfield. She and Forest lived in Fairfield prior to moving to Washington County in the 1950s.
