Velma Klaver

Velma Klaver, 94, of Iowa Falls, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at the Pleasant Manor Care Center, Mt. Pleasant.

Memorial services for Velma Klaver will be 10:30 Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation and fellowship will follow the services at the funeral home. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Velma Detmer was born June 28, 1914, at Blairsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Anna (Pfaffenbach) and Henry Detmer.

She attended the Liberty Center School at Blairsburg and graduated from Blairsburg High School with the class of 1932. On Aug. 30, 1933, Velma was united in marriage to Fred Klaver at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Betty, Jeanne, and Rick. The couple moved to Iowa Falls, Iowa in 1943 where she lived until March 2008, when she moved to Mt. Pleasant to reside in the Pleasant Manor Care Center to be near her daughter.
