Velma L. Booth

      Velma L. Booth, 91, of Batavia, died Sept. 5, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Batavia United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Dvorak officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.

      Open visitation began at noon today at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

      Memorials may be directed to Batavia United Methodist Church.

      Mrs. Booth was born July 16, 1917, in Van Buren County, the daughter of Harry and Lila Goehring Williams. She married Raymond Booth April 30, 1939, in Fairfield. He preceded her in death April 23, 2004.
